Emily just moved into a new apartment, and wants to spice up her bathroom a little bit. She needs to keep everything as it is (since she is renting) but her request? New towels and an art piece.
Emily likes color. She also likes abstract art so I went in that direction for the possible pieces for her bathroom, but wanted to keep them light and fun but still interesting and pretty.

When you are working with such a small area, its important to make an impact with patterns and textures (and in Emily's case, color!).

Since we are only looking at towels and art, I thought I'd put two different options together and get your opinion.

Option 1
I LOVE the texture of the yellow floral towels. But to balance out the femininity of the bath towel, I would pair it with the blue and grey striped towel (I'm also loving the tassels on that!). The art helps tie everything together.

Option 2
This peacock towel has amazing colors in it with a fun, interesting print to it. Since the print is pretty bold on this, I'd pair it with a towel with a more subdued print with the hand towel option (it still has a print on it... follow the link and see how good looking this towel is). Again, the art helps tie the color scheme together.

Take the poll below to share what option you like better!

My sister has those towels from Anthropologie and they are GORGEOUS. She has the white ones and the turquoise ones and I've never seen more beautiful towels. Plus they're really soft. It helps that she works there so she gets a discount, but I think they'd be worth buying even without a discount.

I love those peacock and tasseled towels! Megan, you're good! I see a trip to World Market and West Elm in my future. Thank you!

I've been thinking about this lately- I like the idea of not plush bath towels. I mean, we use them in the kitchen (tea towels) so why not in the bath. They look so clean (lines wise only, hopefully) and not fluffy. I've been contemplating getting Turkish linen bath towels for me- I wonder if they would dry me off as well as a normal towel would. And I can't help but think that it would dry itself quickly, something that my normal towels don't do very well.
